If you see smoke near Annie Hehir Road Environmental Reserve, Peachester, tomorrow afternoon (Wednesday), don’t be alarmed.
Council's Natural Area Fire Management team will be undertaking a prescribed burn, weather permitting.
The burn area is approximately two hectares and will start around 1pm and be completed by around 6pm.
Light winds are forecast by the Bureau of Meteorology and smoke may be visible around River Road.
The burn will reduce the volume of forest fuels and create a mosaic pattern of burnt and unburnt areas within the reserve.
