Peachester and Beerwah locals have your say for your Flexilink transport service

Flexilink vehicleIt’s time to flex your survey muscles for your Flexilink service.

Sunshine Coast Council’s Hinterland Flexilink Service is a Transport Levy funded trial that began in 2010 to explore the transportation needs of residents living between major public transport hubs.

Residents are now invited to provide feedback to help council determine if the Peachester to Beerwah service can be improved.

Transport Strategy Portfolio Councillor Rick Baberowski said the Peachester to Beerwah route provided connectivity that isn’t currently available through the state ‘TransLink’ bus network.

“The trial operated around 24 pre-booked trips per month between Peachester and Beerwah last year and it’s important to check in with the community on how the service is going,” Cr Baberowski said.

“As we review demand and community expectations for the service, resident and user feedback will help shape the future of this Flexilink and local connectivity to scheduled public transport services in neighbouring towns.

“These surveys are critical for council to be able to form a full view of passenger needs and is an opportunity for users to offer their thoughts on changes in demand or improvements to Flexilink routes and services into the future.”

A survey has been forwarded by mail to all residents along the route. Hard copy surveys can be returned to Beerwah Library or any council office. The survey can also be downloaded or completed online. Find all the details on council’s Have Your Say website at haveyoursay.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au

The survey will close 4pm on February 9, 2018. All completed entries received by that time will go into the draw for a chance to win a $100 Visa gift card.

Flexilink is a pre-booked scheduled service that provides links with existing public transport services. Flexilink operates in areas with limited public transport.
