Division 4 is already home to a number of major projects and Sunshine Coast Council’s 2019/20 $848 million budget will deliver even more results for our community.

Divisional councillor John Connolly said our communities were our future new and improved infrastructure was vital to support them.

“The projects planned for Division 4 over the next 12 months will help to put the Sunshine Coast on the map and make it an even more desirable place to live or visit,” Cr Connolly said.

“Through long-term projects like SunCentral, Brisbane Road Car Park and the Mooloolaba Transport Corridor Upgrade, Sunshine Coast Council is planning for our community’s future.

“We’re also creating places for the community to enjoy now, like a new deck in Buhk Family Park at Alexandra Headland and the Mooloolaba Spit Boardwalk.

“New exercise equipment will also be installed at Alex Bluff on Alexandra Parade and Double Bay on Grande Parade.

“To make it easier for residents to get from A to B, we’re also renewing pathways in Parkyn Parade, Brentwood Avenue and Candlewood Close in Mooloolaba as well as Jessica Boulevard in Minyama.

“These simple yet convenient facilities are so important. They go a long way towards creating our wonderful outdoor lifestyle and achieving our vision to be a healthy, smart, creative region.

“I’m confident the 2019/20 Sunshine Coast Council Budget will support Division 4 as our communities – and the Sunshine Coast region – grow.”
