New sports clubhouse ready for local groups to use in Baringa

In the latest milestone for council facilities within the new suburb of Baringa, a new sports clubhouse at Baringa Sports Complex is now open and ready for local clubs to use for training and competitions.

Division 1 Councillor Rick Baberowski joined Baringa Football Club committee members to inspect the facility today.

Councillor Baberowski said the new clubhouse would service the new adjacent sport fields and provide the local school and community access to sporting facilities.

“It’s great to see yet another outstanding facility in Baringa reach completion,” Cr Baberowski said.

Local sporting groups are an important part of any community, providing great opportunities for our youth to participate and enjoy sport, so was vital council helped provide facilities for those groups here in the emerging locality of Baringa.

“The clubhouse includes change rooms, a canteen facility, storage spaces, undercover verandas and pathway access to sports fields, car park and public amenities.

“This is the first clubhouse of a network of 10 to be delivered in Aura over the next 30 years.”
