The work that Denise and Bruce Morcombe do is nothing short of inspiring.
From the kitchen of their home 13 years ago, the Daniel Morcombe Foundation has grown to positively impact the lives of more than 260,000 students across Queensland with their Keeping Kids Safe resources and in-school sessions.
And thanks to the generosity and support that our Sunshine Coast is renowned for, the Morcombes will next year achieve their dream of constructing Daniel House in Palmwoods.
Not only will Daniel House serve as a permanent headquarters for the Daniel Morcombe Foundation, it will also provide a counselling service for those in our community who are most in need.
It is a testament to our strong community and generosity of spirit that more than 50 local businesses have contributed over half a million dollars in materials and services to this important project.
That is truly a phenomenal effort and on behalf of the Sunshine Coast community, I offer my sincere gratitude to everyone who has helped out.
It is with your assistance that Daniel’s legacy will help to keep our children safe.
