Libraries dig deep for desperate dogs
  • Tuesday 06 January 2009

A visit to any of the Sunshine Coast libraries these school holidays will not only feed your mind, but also feed the dogs and cats at the Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge – and could even win you a free movie pass.

Sunshine Coast Libraries and Paramount Pictures are giving away five family movie passes in January to see the latest Dreamworks release, Hotel for Dogs.

Simply visit any library to drop off a donation of pet food for the Sunshine Coast Animal Refuge (the Coast’s version of a hotel for dogs) and you will go in the draw to win a $50 movie pass.

The dogs and cats at the Sippy Downs refuge desperately need:

  • Dog treats
  • Canned dog food (they like the ones with gravy)
  • Kitten sachets

Each donation entitles you to an entry, so the more donations you give, the more chances you have of winning.

The competition closes on Tuesday 20 January and winners will be announced on Thursday 22 January.

Hotel for Dogs, rated PG, is released in cinemas on 15 January.
