There is a wonderful array of events and workshops to enjoy during July and August as a part of the fabric – Slow Fashion, Artful Living program.
The fabric program provides an opportunity to be inspired, get creative or learn the essentials through an exciting variety of events that include hands-on workshops, author talks and professional development opportunities.
Here’s a taste of what’s on offer:
#FashCampUSC – 5, 9, 10 July
USC, Sippy Downs. Bookings required.
A three-day workshop for Year 11 and 12 students interested in exploring their career potential in the exciting world of high fashion. Try out fashion styling, direct a fashion photography shoot and illustrate your ideas while you create content for digital media just like a fashion influencer on social media. Presented by USC.
Re-styled trashion – Wednesday 11 July
CWA Hall, Eumundi. Free, bookings required.
Kerry Chave from The Trashy Artisan Cooperative will teach you how to make eclectic and practical accessories from would-be trash.
9.30 and 11.30am: Bicycle inner-tube jewellery
10.30am: Shopping bags from animal feed bags
