Sunshine Coast artists seeking opportunities for professional development are invited to apply for funding from the Regional Arts Development Fund (RADF).
RADF is a Queensland Government partnership through Arts Queensland and Sunshine Coast Council to support local arts and culture.
Community Programs Portfolio Councillor Jenny McKay said RADF highlighted council’s commitment to supporting the local arts industry.
"RADF is a great opportunity for artists and arts organisations that are looking to extend their experience and enhance career prospects," said Cr McKay.
"In this round, Sunshine Coast Council and Arts Queensland together are offering over $81,000 in RADF funding – and we expect to have a great range of applicants from different corners of the arts industry."
One example of a previous RADF recipient is Balcony TV – the grant was used to produce a Sunshine Coast segment for the international online music show. Balcony TV, which has over 20 million daily viewers globally, provides a platform for film industry professionals to showcase local independent musicians internationally.
Applications are also open for council’s Community Grants Program, which provides funding to assist with projects that benefit Sunshine Coast communities.
Applications for RADF and Community Grants close at 5pm Saturday 1 September 2012.
Visit council's website for eligibility criteria and information session dates and locations.
