If you have an interest in art investment, an interesting floor talk by gallery owner Tony Gill is a must at Sunshine Coast Council’s Noosa Regional Gallery on Wednesday 12 June at 10.30am.
If dabbling in art investment tickles your fancy or if you’re just looking at starting a collection or purchasing an artwork, knowing what to buy or where to go can seem a little daunting. Tony Gill has been a gallery owner for almost two decades on the Coast and was also one of the founding committee members of the Sunshine Coast Art Prize (SCAP). His professional experience includes participation on various tourism boards over the past 10 years, with the aim of heightening the awareness of our rich culture of art in the region.
Thanks to Sunshine Coast Council’s Community and Performance Venues, attendees to the floor talk will have the opportunity to purchase discounted tickets to the ART: comedy on modern art theatre production at Nambour Civic Centre on Saturday 15 June 2013. A hit in the West End, Broadway and all around the world, ART is the recipient of the 1998 Tony Award for Best Play and Laurence Olivier Award for Best Comedy.
ART is a hilarious play about friends. You love ‘em, but sometimes you just can’t understand ‘em. Especially when they do something completely different and unexpected ...something that makes you wonder how they ever became your friends in the first place. Serge, Marc and Yvan find their previously solid 15-year friendship on shaky ground when Serge buys an expensive painting.
Bookings are essential as spaces are limited. Be sure not to miss out and book online at council’s performance venues website or call Noosa Regional Gallery on 5449 5340. If you would like more information on the theatre production ART, visit the website, phone 5475 7777 or visit the Nambour Civic Centre Box Office located at Centenary Square, 52-64 Currie Street, Nambour.
