Time is running out to have your say on the Draft Sunshine Coast Positive Ageing Strategy 2011-2016.
Sunshine Coast Council is currently developing a regional approach towards addressing the changing needs of older people on the Sunshine Coast, whilst acknowledging the many positive and significant contributions older people make to our communities.
The draft positive ageing strategy – including the key messages, principles and action plan – is available for feedback at council libraries, customer service centres and online until 26 April 2011.
The strategy will contribute towards council’s vision to be Australia’s most sustainable region – vibrant, green and diverse. The strategy aims to build a strong, connected and vibrant ageing population on the Sunshine Coast.
The community is invited to have its say on the Draft Sunshine Coast Positive Ageing Strategy 2011-2016 by filling out the survey on council’s website before 5pm Tuesday 26 April 2011, or sending council a submission.
The feedback will inform the development of a final Sunshine Coast Positive Ageing Strategy 2011-2016, which is anticipated to be presented to council for consideration in mid 2011.
Send feedback via the online survey or email to firstname.lastname@example.org or by mail to Manager – Community Planning & Strategy, Locked Bag 72, Sunshine Coast Mail Centre QLD 4560.
