Multi award-winning architect, businessman and host of Grand Designs Australia, Peter Maddison will present a keynote address at the Cleantech Effect 2017

The only inter-regional cleantech conference and trade show of its kind in Australia, the Cleantech Effect, will return to the Lake Kawana Community Centre on August 23.

The Cleantech Effect 2017 promises to challenge the thinking of attendees and exhibitors alike by delving into the world of sustainable design and exploring how we can improve our strategies to achieve sustainable built environment outcomes.

Global thought leader and futurist Dr Keith Suter will MC this year’s event, which will include a keynote presentation by inspiring multi award-winning architect, businessman and host of Grand Designs Australia, Peter Maddison.

One of the most recognisable architects in Australia, Mr Maddison was delighted to be invited to the Sunshine Coast to share his passion, expertise and experience on what good design can achieve.

The Cleantech Effect is now welcoming registration from cleantech industry innovators who would like to be one of 30 exhibitors at this event and take advantage of being showcased to the sector’s key representatives.

Economic Development Portfolio Councillor Stephen Robinson said the conference and showcase aimed to build on its successful formula of connecting business leaders with innovators to start to put the pieces of the “cleantech puzzle” together.

“This year we’re not only showcasing the latest technologies, hearing inspiring stories and discovering exciting new businesses, we’re also challenging our thinking about the built environment and exploring how to create communities that are environmentally and economically sustainable,” Cr Robinson said.

Exhibiting at the event will also offer businesses the opportunity to promote their Cleantech products and services to a database of over 500 targeted business contacts in the lead-up to the event.
