A ‘world first’ local company
Anyone who loves avocado should appreciate this news. Coolum-based Sunfresh has signed a distributorship agreement with a Hong Kong importer for a new product that is set to revolutionise the avocado industry. The business is using purpose built technology to process avocados in way that greatly increases their shelf-life and distribution potential within Australia and overseas. It’s 100% natural too. This is a fantastic innovation that will open doors for the company and I’m confident Sunfresh will become a serious player on the world market.
Arcoona Road reseal
A section of pavement on Arcoona Road in Coolum Beach is set for rehabilitation later this month. Work is due to start on June 19 and be completed within two weeks. As with all construction, this is dependent on good weather. Please allow an extra 10-15 minutes travel time during construction. Council recognises the importance of quality road infrastructure and will continue to deliver ongoing improvements to the region's road networks.
A section of pathway on the western side of David Low Way, between Stumers Creek and Coolum State High School, will soon be resurfaced. This is a welcome improvement to the existing pathway and I'm sure pedestrians and bike riders will enjoy a much smoother journey. Work is scheduled to start in the week of June 19 and be completed by the end of the month.
