Major Grants now open
Peregian Springs not for profit groups can apply now for council’s latest round of Major Grants. Funding of up to $30,000 is available for one-off projects, events and activities that benefit our community.
For an extra helping hand during the current pandemic, Council have temporarily suspended the need for co-funding for requests of more than $7500 because we recognise how difficult it could be for groups to fundraise and secure this extra money.
Council grants officers are available to discuss your projects and funding needs on 5420 8616 or via email grants@sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au. Applications close August 24.

Have your say on the future for four-legged friends in our region
Council is preparing to update the Domestic Animal Management (Cats and Dogs) Strategy for the next 10 years, and we’re seeking feedback from the community – both pet owners and non-pet owners. You can fill out the survey online or head to Tickle Park, Coolum from 7–9am on Friday 12 August to give your valuable feedback.

Winter walks
The weather is beautiful for a winter walk at the moment. Adventure Sunshine Coast is council’s website where you can easily find walks or rides near you. Three lovely walks nearby include the Peregian Springs: The Avenue Park to Waterville Way Park walk (1.87km loop), and the Doonan Creek: North Bushland Loop (1.5km), and the Peregian Breeze Park to Peregian Beach Walk (2.5km one way). All these walks are of an easy skill level, and a great walk to get out and explore your local neighbourhood on foot. Head to adventure.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au, select walk, and zoom in on the map to see walks near you.
