Libraries now open
If you didn’t already know, our Sunshine Coast libraries have re-opened. The Coolum Library will be open from 9am-4pm and only 10 customers at any one time will be allowed into the library to pick up reservations and select and borrow items. Keep in mind that you’ll only be able to browse and borrow for a maximum of 15 minutes and you may need to queue to ensure national public health directions are met. Please ensure you continue to practice social distancing, good hygiene and do not visit if you are feeling unwell.
Free school holiday fun
While council is unable to run its usual school holiday program this winter, there is always something fun to do out of the house. Have you been to the Maroochy Wetlands Sanctuary which is just a short drive away? Together you can become nature agents and go on a mission to explore nature though an augmented reality game on your smart device. Simply download the free Agents of Discovery App from your app store. Load the ‘Wetlands Discovery’ mission and head to the wetlands at Sports Road, Bli Bli to begin your challenge. Use the hints and clues from your surroundings to solve the challenges! If you’d like more information, please go to the What’s on guide on Sunshine Coast Council’s website.
