Sunshine Coast Mass Transit

Momentum continues for a mass transit solution to address our public transport needs now and well into the future.

The Mass Transit is important for the whole sunshine coast and across the hinterland because our public transport network will connect to the mass transit project.

It’s also important that all towns have their say on projects that impact the entire Sunshine Coast. This is a great opportunity to have your say and provide feedback during open consultation.

For more information visit the Mass Transit project web page and subscribe to receive regular Sunshine Coast Mass Transit project updates.

Nambour Heritage Soundtrail

The Nambour Soundtrail is a GPS activated, audio story trail that features 18 stories of Nambour told by locals including Bob Collins, June Upton, Brent Miller, Lyndon Davis and many more. The trail is narrated by Powderfinger’s John Coghill and has a cool soundtrack from musicians Lee Hardisty and Leon Tussy. Visit significant sites in Nambour such as Collins Café, Vogue Cinema, BCC Supermarkets, C-Square and Bayards and learn about the history of the town.

The self-guided tour starts at Nambour Library, where you can use the free council Wi-Fi to download the Soundtrails App to your tablet or smart phone. Remember to bring your headphones and while you’re there why not check out some incredible new street at featured at BackBeat Records. Visit council’s website for more info.
