Nambour Aquatic Centre

Work is well underway on the $2.65 million Nambour Aquatic Centre upgrade, despite a few wet weather and project challenges. The good news is the carpark construction and zero depth splash pad are now due to be completed during June.

The school swimming carnival season went ahead as planned and it was great to see everyone work together to ensure safety was a high priority and the students still had fun.

Once complete, the upgrade will deliver two water slides, a children’s zero depth splash zone (a water play area which will include two water slides) and 30 new car parks.

Rail Duplication

Every level of government has come together to work towards full rail duplication from Beerburrum to Nambour. It is very important that all elected representatives work together to improve connectivity for Nambour. This is essential infrastructure to provide Nambour with proper rail connections which will increase the use of public transport to get commuters off the roads and offer better options of travel to Brisbane for major events.
