A healthy, smart and creative Division 6
Council’s record $722 million budget for this coming financial year focuses on delivering Australia’s leading healthy, smart and creative region – for today and for generations to come. There is significant investment in major projects and community infrastructure, with a capital works program of $237 million. It’s important that we balance the needs and expectations of the entire community and allocate funds appropriately to plan for projects into the future – while still delivering the core services.
Peter Crosby Way
I was delighted to attend the official opening of Peter Crosby Way – the gateway to Palmview’s largest master planned community, Harmony. The opening of Peter Crosby Way is a significant milestone for this area of the Sunshine Coast. The master planned community of Harmony is delivering much-needed housing to meet demand in the region, as well as generating 9,000 jobs through the delivery of the project. Harmony’s main entry road Peter Crosby Way will service future Harmony residents and those in neighbouring communities and also acknowledges the site’s connection to the Crosby family.
If you happen to be a regular visitor to the dog parks in Buderim (Syd Lingard Dr) and Sippy Downs (Lakehead Dr), you may have noticed that new turf has been laid. If you're in the areas, please be mindful to keep off the new turf until it's ready to be used.
