New pathway at Sycamore Drive
In response to local residents seeking better connectivity in their immediate neighbourhood, Council is set to construct a new 130m section of pathway behind Sycamore Drive in Creekside Currimundi, which will link an existing footpath to the recreational trail network in the area. Work is due to start in the week of November 23, weather permitting, and should take approximately one week to complete.
New outdoor exercise equipment
I am pleased to advise that a new outdoor exercise station will soon be installed at Stockyard Park (opposite the Night Owl complex) in Ivadale Lakes. This project will include exercise equipment for people who want to work out in the natural environment. Nearby residents will receive further information about the proposed installation. If you would like further details on this project, please contact my office on email@example.com and I will arrange for you to receive the newsletter.
Make a difference with the gift of literacy
If you’re looking for a good cause to support this Christmas, I strongly encourage you to consider donating the annual ‘Books 4 Kids’ book drive so you can brighten a child’s life with the gift of reading. You can drop new children’s books into any library on the Coast, including the Caloundra Library on Omrah Avenue, until December 11 and you don’t even need to wrap the book. Council’s Libraries have partnered with Salvation Army on this fantastic initiative for the past 15 years.
