Parklands Boulevard update
This much anticipated project has now progressed to the reconstruction of the Sunset Drive and Parklands Boulevard intersection.

Over the next couple of months our teams will also be finalising all road and footpath works including final road surfacing and landscaping from Creekwood roundabout to the Meridan College car park and from approximately 50m east of Sunset Drive to the end of the upgrade works at the IRT retirement village. The entire project is set to be finished in January 2021 (weather and site conditions dependent).

You can stay up-to-date on this important community project by visiting council’s website or register for updates by emailing the team at parklandsboulevard@sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au

 A Sunshine Coast first
In what is a first for our region, work is currently underway on constructing a specific all-abilities toilet and change room facility at Grahame Stewart Park, Currimundi. This unique project will include a shower, adult-sized change table, ceiling hoist, toilet with privacy screen and additional circulation space to meet the needs of people with complex disabilities and their carers.

The project has received funding as part of the Queensland Government’s "Unite and Recover Community Stimulus Package" and is expected to be completed by January 2021 (weather and site conditions dependent).
