Parklands Blvd four-lane upgrade
I recently visited the Parklands Boulevard upgrade construction site to celebrate a number of project milestones and the job is on track to be completed this summer.
A three-metre wide pathway now fronts Meridan College and connects to a 2.5 metre wide pathway either side of the college for the entire length of the project. A fantastic milestone for the project!
The Parklands Boulevard Upgrade Project Team has also recently reconfigured the Stop-Drop-and-Go area in the Meridan State College primary school car park and secured funding for a much needed supervised crossing on Meridan Way.
Warana - coastal pathway update
Work is currently underway on a 350-metre section of pathway north of Beach Access 238. Once complete, this project will provide a safe off-road pathway for both pedestrians and cyclists.
This is one of many projects funded through council’s $243 million Capital Works Program this financial year. Council will also be undertaking weed control and bush regeneration works in the area. I look forward to seeing many of you out and about on the path when it is complete.
