Cr Cox - Crummunda Park
  • Tuesday 10 January 2017

Happy New Year to all of our Division 3 residents. Some outstanding additions are coming to Crummunda Park which will make one of our division’s most popular recreation spots an even better destination. Work will begin at the end of the school holidays to install new exercise and playground equipment as part of the Crummunda Park Landscape Plan which was endorsed by council last year. I’m sure our park users, young and old, will love the changes which will help everyone to keep healthy and active. If you haven’t been to Crummunda Park, it’s on Coongarra Esplanade.

Lake Kawana shade shelters

There are plenty of residents and visitors to Division Three who love the walk around our beautiful Lake Kawana and now we’ve made the journey even more enjoyable. Four shade shelters have been added along the lake’s edge which provide some great spots to stop and enjoy the surroundings. They are sure to be very popular with the local community and our visitors to the Kawana Sports Precinct.

Learn to swim

With another summer here, now is the time to think about water safety and enrolling young children in a learn-to-swim program delivered region-wide across Sunshine Coast Council’s aquatic centres. Visit council’s website for details.

Keep in touch

My ‘Mobile Office’ session for December was well attended – thank you to everyone who came along. The next one will be at Currimundi Marketplace on Friday January 27 from 9-11am. These sessions are a great opportunity for you to ask any questions about what’s happening in Division 3 and on other council projects. I hope to see you there.
