Work is now underway on a number of great improvements in La Balsa Park. We’re replacing river access stairs and installing a new river access point. Installing new irrigation and a 5000 litre in-ground water storage tank, to help maintain the grass. New barbeques, a beach shower, tables and seating will be installed throughout the park. As well as, stormwater improvements, including the addition of two new bio retention basins planted with vegetation to help filter stormwater from the car parks.
These upgrades will help ensure La Balsa Park remains a great open space for our community to enjoy. The various stages of construction have been staged to minimise disruption to park users and limit the number of car parks closed at any one time. I thank you in advance for your patience while this important work is completed.
