Improved Major Grants now open
Council’s Major Grants round is now open. This financial year, in recognition of tightening budgets everywhere, and the need to support projects which can start and finish quickly, we are temporarily suspending the co-funding requirements for Major Grants.
Community group volunteers have gone above and beyond to keep communities connected through the stress of this year. To help, we’re going to inject money into community groups to spend quickly and purposefully in our local economy, on projects that will deliver maximum community benefit.
Council grants officers are available to discuss your projects and funding needs on 5420 8616 or via email email@example.com. Applications close August 24.
Improved local parks - works update
Excellent progress is being made on the improved and extended entry to Turner Street parklands and pathways. It’s great to see the same materials (including local stone) being used to create an even better looking and functioning park for Beerwah’s town centre. Similarly, work is progressing well on the Caloundra Street car park upgrade at Landsborough, near to the ever popular Pioneer Park. Thanks everyone for your patience and consideration of each other during its construction.
First Nations Artwork exhibition
Visit Caloundra Regional Gallery before August 2 to see a special exhibition celebrating First Nations Peoples artworks drawn exclusively from the Sunshine Coast Art Collection. Visit gallery.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au for details.
Bankfoot House now open Saturdays
With restrictions easing further, Bankfoot House is now open for booked tours on Fridays and Saturdays from 10am – 3pm. Bookings are required via our heritage website heritage.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au
