Whether you support or oppose a development, it is easy to make your opinion count.

Submissions can be made on any application that is required to be publicly notified. Applications must be publicly notified if any part of the application required impact assessment, or the application is for a preliminary approval to vary the effect of a local planning instrument.

When making a submission, it is important to focus on planning issues such as whether the proposed use is consistent with the zoning for the area, whether the scale and design is compatible with surrounding development, how the development interfaces with adjoining properties, traffic and car parking issues, hours of operation, impact on drainage, how the development fits with objectives to protect and enhance the natural environment.

The submission should also include any supporting evidence or documentation.
