Sunshine Coast Council is putting out a call for stall holders, performers and volunteers to help make the 2009 Australia Day celebrations bigger and better than ever.

The popular community event, hosted by council each year, will be held at Kings Beach Park, Caloundra on Monday 26 January, 2009 from 10am to 9pm.

Council is looking for individuals and groups who can provide food and drink stalls to keep everyone fed and hydrated, and to entertain the crowds, they are calling for market stall holders, buskers, street entertainers, workshop facilitators, children’s entertainers, indigenous activities facilitators and community groups who would like to organise games and activities.

Thousands of people are expected to make their way to Kings Beach to celebrate Australia Day and enjoy the live music and other free activities including a movie under the stars.

If you would like to apply for a food or market stall, please complete the application form available on council’s website www.sunshinecoast.qld.gov.au
