Now in its second year, Sea N Sound aims to create a boutique blend of coastal lifestyle and local culture, focusing on the best live music, local seafood and Australian craft beer, bringing a truly “Australian” event to the Sunshine Coast.
Last year the precinct welcomed more than 2000 people who enjoyed the sounds of some of Australia's premier artists including Pete Murray, Ash Grunwald and Sahara Beck.
This year’s festival is shaping up to be even bigger, with Aussie favourites Boy & Bear supported by Busby Marou and band with their ARIA number 1 album.
Sunshine Coast festival favourites Tijuana Cartel, Adelaide’s rising alt-indie star Timberwolf, plus a host of local acts, will take to the stage.
Division 4 Councillor John Connolly said Mooloolaba was the perfect location for the Sea N Sound Festival as it is one of the Coast’s most iconic locations.
“I would like to commend the Wharf Tavern for the impressive line-up of entertainment with some of Australia’s best known acts to hit the stage,” Cr Connolly said.
“Sea N Sound Festival is designed to entertain visitors and residents enjoying our renowned tourist hub.
“Last year’s inaugural event saw 2000 people enjoy a fantastic day of entertainment and this year’s festival will certainly not disappoint.”
Ian “Dicko” Dickson said he was thrilled to have one of his artists – Sametime - on the bill for this year`s Sea N Sounds.
“Last year`s event was a lot of fun, really well organised, a great line-up, good food and craft beer,” he said.
“It`s the sort of classy event that will help to establish the Sunny Coast as an iconic live music destination. Can`t wait!”
Sea N Sound festival is located outside the Wharf Tavern, positioned on the Mooloolah River and opposite the stunning Mooloolaba Beach.
