Event management will be on the agenda at the Sunshine Coast Events Network (scene) educational workshop to be held at the TAFE East Coast, Mooloolaba from 8.45am on Wednesday, October 14.

Open to everyone involved with events, Sunshine Coast Council’s scene program is aimed at those who are new to the events industry, are looking to run a new event or would like to further develop existing events or skill sets.

The final scene workshop for 2015 entitled People Power won’t disappoint with two industry professionals primed to share their experience.

Learn how to keep people at your event safe with Andrew Murray, from Emergency Risk Management Services, an entertaining presenter with some jaw dropping examples of what not to do and Robyn Lange Cork, from Outcome Focus, will wrap up with tips on the language of success - a must for anyone needing to influence, negotiate and liaise with people of all walks.

Bookings for the workshop are essential. Cost to attend is $30 per person and $25 for students, pensioners and not-for-profits including a delicious afternoon tea.
