ImageIf you are passionate about Kawana Library and would like to help develop new ideas and promote the vast array of library services, Sunshine Coast Council wants to hear from you.

Division 4 Councillor John Connolly said he would like to thank the Friends of Kawana Library volunteer group for its ongoing support of the newly renovated Kawana Library.

“This small but dedicated group are non-profit with all funds raised by the Friends going back into the library,” Cr Connolly said.

“Due to the popularity of our library operations, we are in search of some new volunteers to assist the library in developing connections with the wider community.

“There is no better way to promote the services, activities and resources available at Kawana Library than by a personal recommendation.

“Our Friends may find themselves assisting with book sales, school holiday activities and library run events.

“So if you have some time to spare and you are really passionate about the Kawana Library service, please drop by and chat to the Kawana Library staff to find out how you can become a Friend.”

The Friends of Kawana Library meet on the first Wednesday of each month at Kawana Library from 1.30pm-2.30pm.
