The Sunshine Coast Council event will be held at the Lake Kawana Community Centre. Economic Development Portfolio Councillor Stephen Robinson said the conference and showcase aimed to connect business leaders with innovators in the Cleantech Industry and demonstrate the cost-saving solutions that are available now.
“The Cleantech Effect 2016 is the only inter-regional event in South East Queensland that will empower businesses with the latest information and knowledge to help them with smarter energy, water, waste and design solutions to save money,” Cr Robinson said.
“This event will be ideal for businesses, facility managers and building owners that want to explore long-term solutions to help them reduce running costs and improve environmental performance. It will showcase leading experts and cleantech case studies and businesses will hear about the latest cleantech trends and hot topics straight from the leading sources.”
Clean Technologies is one of seven high value industries that are considered the keys to long-term economic growth and employment opportunities on the Sunshine Coast under the Regional Economic Development Strategy (REDS) 2013-2033.
The Cleantech Effect 2016 will be supported by a Cleantech Solutions Showcase which will provide opportunities for cleantech businesses to showcase their innovative products and services.
Cleantech Industries Sunshine Coast President and owner of SPS Energy Jock Howard said local businesses could benefit greatly by getting involved in the July 29 event.
“A large number of businesses and building owners are currently looking for new and cost-effective solutions to run their facilities more efficiently. However many of them aren’t clear on the availability and business case of clean technologies. The Cleantech effect will showcase the here, now and future benefits they can provide,” he said.
“Exhibiting at last year’s Cleantech event allowed our business to network with innovative and solution-focussed brands and explore technologies of the future. So I strongly encourage any business that wants to benefit from clean technologies to get involved with this event on July 29.”
he Cleantech Effect is now registering interest from innovators within the cleantech industry to participate as an exhibitor at the event’s Solutions Showcase. Exhibiting at this event will promote your business to a potential database of over 500 targeted business contacts in the lead-up to the event. Showcasing your business at the event will also offer a unique opportunity to connect with up to 150 people from businesses that are focused on longer-term solutions and interested in exploring technologies for the future.
