'Anything Goes' at this year's Older Learners Expo

With belly dancing and tai chi demonstrations featuring at the annual Older Learners Expo (OLE), it’s clear why this year’s theme is ‘Anything Goes’!

Organised by the Sunshine Coast Regional Council, the free expo gives older residents the opportunity to learn, interact and socialise with their peers.

“OLE provides a fun, interesting and creative environment where seniors can go to learn more about the services and facilities available to them in their local community,” said Lisbet Dean, Regional Director Community Services.

“In its fifth year, the expo continues to grow in both size and popularity,” she said. “With more than fifty community groups participating, it’s expected to be bigger and more diverse than ever.”

The expo will be held at the Kawana Library on Wednesday 14 May from 10am to 2pm, kicking off with entertainment by The Edge Waters singing ‘Anything Goes’.

This year will also feature short talks and demonstrations on topics such as reconnective healing and computers for grandparents.
