The ANZAC spirit will be alive on the Sunshine Coast this year with a full program of services and marches planned at more than 20 locations around the region on Saturday 25 April.

The commemorative events, organised by RSL Sub-Branches, will include early dawn services, mid-morning main services and marches to honour members of the Australian and New Zealand Army Corps for their brave efforts in Turkey during World War I.

Sunshine Coast Mayor Bob Abbott will attend the dawn service at Tewantin and the main service at Buderim.

Services will take place at Alexandra Headland, Beerwah, Buderim, Caloundra, Coolum-Peregian, Cooroy, Eumundi, Landsborough, Glasshouse Mountains, Kawana Waters, Maleny, Mapleton-Montville, Maroochydore, Mudjimba, Nambour, Palmwoods, Tewantin-Noosa, Woombye, Woodford and Yandina.

A number of RSL Sub-Branches will also provide community breakfasts and refreshments following services.

Residents seeking further information on ANZAC Day activities or road closures in their area should contact their local RSL Sub-Branch or community group.
