Sunshine Coast Council’s AMPED Live program will conclude with a special NAIDOC Week Songwriters Circle event hosted by Graham Ashton from Footstomp Music and local venue Solbar on 11 July at 8pm.

For just $5 admission music enthusiasts can join Jeremy Marou (from Busby Marou) and each of the AMPED Live program finalists - Mitch Davis, Mia Wray and Cale Fisher - who will take to the stage to perform their favourite original songs and share the stories behind their music.

The Songwriters Circle will be followed by the AMPED Wrap Up Party featuring Jeremy Marou joined by Slip On Stereo.

The following nine local acts were successful in their applications to participate in council’s AMPED Live workshop series program. They have been working with music industry development agency Footstomp Music and obtained a press kit package and a basic video production produced by Cartelux Films:

  • Afterglow
  • Drew Wilson
  • Mitch Davis & The Dawn Chorus
  • The Floating Bridges
  • Andrew Redford
  • Mia Wray
  • Soula
  • Apollo and the Sun
  • Hayden Hack Infusion.

Mia Wray, Mitch Davis & The Dawn Chorus and The Floating Bridges have been selected to continue working with Footstomp Music to develop their long term plan to market their music to radio and media and also to showcase at the up-coming Bigsound music industry conference.

Council acknowledges industry partners Arts Queensland, QMusic, Footstomp Music, Cartelux Films and local venue Solbar who supported the AMPED Live 2013 program.
