Sunshine Coast Council Libraries invites avid mystery readers to enjoy an evening with international best-selling crime author Michael Robotham at the Maroochy RSL from 6.30pm on Friday, September 7.

This special literary event is part of a series of Sunshine Coast Libraries author events hosted at various locations across the region.

Michael will talk about his latest book The Other Wife, life as an author and his experience as an investigative journalist working across the globe.

The Other Wife is a confronting psychological thriller that keeps audiences on the edge of their seat until its shocking climax, and is the last in the popular Joe O’Loughlin series.

Michael’s 2004 debut thriller, The Suspect, sold more than a million copies around the world.

It is the first of nine novels featuring clinical psychologists Joe O’Loughlin.

In 2015, he won the UK’s prestigious Crime Writers’ Association Gold Dagger Award with his stand-alone thriller Life or Death.

Twelve of these non-fiction titles were best-sellers with combined sales of more than two million copies.

His novels have since been translated into 23 languages and has sold multi-million copies worldwide.

Prior to becoming one of today’s greatest crime writers, Michael investigated notorious cases such as the serial killer couple Fred and Rosemary West.

He has also worked with clinical and forensic psychologists as they helped police investigate complex crimes.

In 1993, Michael quit journalism to become a ghostwriter, collaborating with politicians, popstars, psychologists, adventurers and showbusiness personalities to write their autobiographies.

Michael’s books will be available for purchase at the venue.

Tickets are $25 per person and bookings are essential via council’s library website.

Michael will be joined by special guest, ABC Sunshine Coast radio personality Sheridan Stewart.
