Planning Scheme Policies for Infrastructure Contributions
The Caloundra City Plan 2004 planning scheme is supported by planning scheme policies (PSPs) that deal with various matters related to land development including policies on how development contributes to the provision of infrastructure that services the development.
On the 29 October 2009 the Sunshine Coast Regional Council resolved to adopt amendments to the PSPs for infrastructure contributions that came into effect on 5 November 2009. As a result of these amendments there are now eights PSPs for infrastructure contributions that cover the following networks:
- bike lanes, pathways and footpaths (in public road reserves)
- biting insects
- council roads
- car parking
- open space and land for community facilities and trails
- public transport
- stormwater
- water supply and sewerage
