Community Grants Program

Council has developed its grants program with a philosophy of partnership. Council provides a range of grants to encourage, engage and support individuals and groups in the community to make a positive and ongoing contribution to the region's environmental sustainability, community wellbeing, economic prosperity and cultural life.

Council is holding grant information sessions and application clinics across the region in August and September 2009. If you are considering applying for a grant, council strongly recommends that you attend one of these sessions. (Details of the sessions are located under Support and Assistance on this menu.)

		Major Grants Community groups can apply for funding for up to $50,000. Individuals can apply in the Environment grant category. Rounds close September, 2009 and March, 2010.
		Minor Grants Community groups can apply for funding for up to $2,000. Individual land holders can apply in the Environment grant category. Applications are assessed every eight weeks.
		Individual Development Grants Individuals can apply for funding for up to $500. Applications are assessed every eight weeks.
