Looking for Grants
Many organisations offer grants, aside from council. Grants are most often offered by government departments, but they are also provided through corporations, foundations and trusts.
Eligibility and process
You or your organisation may be eligible for a number of external grants that are available to:
- develop and run programs
- upgrade or construct new infrastructure
- buy and upgrade equipment.
Current funding opportunities
Anzac Centenary Local Grants
- The Department of Veteran Affairs (DVA) is making available $100,000 in funding to each of the 150 Federal Electorates to commemorate the First World War.
Our Neighbourhood Community Grants
- Our Community Grants Program encourages organisations to apply for funding for projects that will help to build healthier, more vibrant and more inclusive communities across Australia.
Jupiter's Casino Community Benefit Fund and Gambling Community Benefit Fund
- One off grants of up to $150,000 for Jupiter’s Grants, and $35,000 for Gambling Grants. These grants are available to not-for-profit organisations to help fund community services or activities with a community benefit.
National Crime Prevention Fund
- The program aims to address gang violence and street crime in the community, and will support projects targeting violence and crime in high crime rate areas, and diversionary activities for young people at risk of becoming involved in crime.
Everyone’s Environment
- Funding for activities that improve the local environment
Get Started
– Assistance for eligible children and young people to join a sport or recreation club.
Local Sporting Champions
– Australian Sports Commission funding to support young people participating in state, national and international level sporting championships as either an athlete, coach or official.
