Food Handler Business Training
Council offers free food handler training to operators and staff of food businesses licensed by council.
Online program
You can complete the online training program
provided through I’m ALERT.
The program is easy to follow and includes an entertaining presentation as well as interactive quizzes. You can complete parts of the training modules to improve your knowledge at anytime. However, to be eligible for a certificate you must complete the whole training program in one sitting. You can print the certificate and keep it as part of your staff records. If you only complete some of the training modules you can print out a training acknowledgement form that provides a record of the modules you completed during that sitting. The system will not remember this the next time you enter the training.
If you do not have access to a computer or the internet at work or at home, you can book a computer at one of council's libraries.
