Festive Season Sponsorship Opportunity
Council is seeking interest from local not-for-profit groups to produce one or both of the Coast’s Christmas Carol events.
- Carols at Cotton Tree: Cotton Tree Park, The Esplanade, Cotton Tree
- Carols on Kings: Kings Beach Amphitheatre, De Vene Avenue, Kings Beach.
Council will act as the major event sponsor. This partnership will help grow these celebrations. It will also provide the community with a greater role in staging these much-loved festive events.
This is a fantastic opportunity for not-for-profit groups to align their brand with a popular carols event. Each event has over a 20-year history and attracts more than 5,000 people. Council anticipates the term of sponsorship will be for three years (2014-2016).
- Naming rights
- Fundraising opportunities
- Brand awareness
- Leverage opportunities
- Community networks
- Image enhancement
Council will provide up to $30,000 (ex GST) in sponsorship funding per year; for a term of three years. After this term, the event organiser may choose to negotiate with council for future partnership support with first right of refusal.
- Planning and promotion:
- Event management guidance
- Promotional support including council’s annual Festive Season Guide
- Website and digital communications
- On-site event management staffing if required (first year)
- Limited supply (loan) of safety equipment and/or signage.
