Camping and Caravan Parks
Council operates nine holiday parks in the Sunshine Coast area. Visit the Sunshine Coast Council Holiday Parks website

The Sunshine Coast's visitor information centres provides a range of local and regional tourist brochures and information to assist travellers.
Camping and rest areas
There are camping and rest areas located across the Sunshine Coast where overnight camping is permitted. Camping and overnight stays are only permitted in approved locations – penalties apply for illegal camping.
Camping is not permitted on public land, parks and foreshores, whether in a tent, in a vehicle or on the ground.
Coochin Creek
The Coochin Creek camping area is managed by Department of National Parks, Recreation, Sport and Racing. It is located 4 km east of the Bruce Highway off Roys Road (Bruce Highway heading south from the Sunshine Coast). Turn down Roys Road and follow the signs. Note: A permit is required and fees apply.

Jimna's Peach Trees camping area
Located approximately 4 km from the township of Jimna and at the western edge of the Upper Mary Valley forests and parks, the Jimna forests include towering hoop pine plantations, several walking tracks and a creekside camping area. Note: A permit is required and fees apply.

Booloumba Creek camping areas
There are three camping areas at Booloumba Creek, located approximately 13km from Conondale. Note: A permit is required and fees apply.

Main Roads rest areas
A Department of Transport and Main Roads rest area is located on Steve Irwin Way, just south of the Caloundra turn-off on the Bruce Highway. Overnight camping is permitted.

Browns Creek rest area
The Browns Creek rest area is located on the Old Bruce Highway, 2 km north of Yandina.
