Bulcock Beach Boardwalk

Bulcock Beach Boardwalk

Bulcock Beach is a natural asset, highly valued for its contribution to tourism and lifestyle in Caloundra. It is a designated 'Tourist Hub' of the Caloundra central business area and a recreational facility within the network of open spaces in the Sunshine Coast region.

To ensure that the local community and visitors can make the most of the boardwalk and the shaded picnic and barbeque facilities council regulates certain activities on the boardwalk.

Fishing

Fishing within the immediate dining area along the boardwalk is prohibited.

The Bulcock Beach Boardwalk does not provide the appropriate facilities or space for fishing or related activities such as rod casting, bait preparation and fish handling.

The designated recreational fishing area is located at the lower deck of the Boardwalk, western end of Bulcock Esplanade adjacent to the two disabled parking bays. This area is wider and provides better accommodation for fishing activities and for fish handling and cleaning. There are also many other suitable locations for fishing enthusiasts along Bulcock Beach.

View the designated and prohibited fishing areas.

Animals

Bulcock Beach Boardwalk is a dog on leash area. For the safety and comfort of the community, animals are prohibited from being within five metres of the BBQ facilities.

There is a regional map [PDF 357KB] showing dog on and off leash areas and prohibited areas which is available from all council libraries, galleries, visitor information centres, customer service centres and community venues.
