Heritage Library

The Heritage Library at Nambour is located on Level 2 of Nambour Library and houses an extensive collection of historical and current materials relating to the development of the Sunshine Coast. The collection includes books, photographs, maps, newspaper cuttings, magazines, CD-ROMs, videos, DVDs, pamphlets and oral histories. For further information, or tours for interested groups such as schools, contact the Heritage Library Coordinator.

In Kawana Library, the Local Studies Heritage Image Collection houses over 2,000 indexed historically significant photographs, dating from 1870 to the present, depicting the people, places, buildings and events of the towns within Caloundra region.

Smaller local studies collections, relevant to specific areas, can be accessed at Beerwah, Caloundra, Coolum, Cooroy, Kenilworth, Maleny, Maroochydore and Noosa libraries.
